OPEN CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS for an international mobility “Participation days”

Training Course: Sustainable Agriculture & Youth Participation
 📍Sremski Karlovci, Serbia | 🗓️15–17 October 2025 + travel days

Online event in September 2025
Application Deadline: 10 June 2025

We are inviting young people aged 15–29 from Serbia, Greece, Slovenia, Lithuania, and Spain to apply for a unique international training course focusing on sustainable agriculture, youth engagement, and climate action.

This activity is part of the Erasmus+ project Engaging Youth in Digital Green Future 2.0 (EY-DGF 2.0), which empowers young people across Europe to take part in shaping sustainable transitions through education, dialogue, and innovation. As part of the project, the online platform Greenovate (www.greenovate.online) has been launched to support and connect youth-led climate initiatives and learning across the continent.

What to Expect in Serbia?

The training course in Sremski Karlovci will focus on sustainable agriculture, one of the most important sectors for achieving climate and environmental goals. While Serbia has a rich agricultural heritage, challenges such as soil degradation, inefficient water use, and limited uptake of eco-friendly practices require urgent attention.

Prior to the Training, a one-day online training will be organised in order to establish some basic principles in sustainable agriculture and the European Green Deal, based on which the live Training will be held.

Participants will explore:

  • How precision farming, agroecology, and organic methods can support resilient food systems
  • The role of youth in promoting sustainability in rural areas
  • Practical examples through on-site visits and simulation exercises on policy scenarios and agricultural practices
  • How the European Green Deal and the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development aim to address this issue

This interactive training will combine expert input with peer collaboration, helping participants build skills and insight for local and European-level action.

More about the venue of the Training course can be found in the Info Pack linked HERE
