About the Program
Are you a young person passionate about climate action, sustainability, and the future of our planet? Do you want to contribute to shaping greener tourism practices and engage with youth from across Europe? If so, we invite you to apply for the Participation Days in Greece, organized within the Erasmus+ project Engaging Youth in a Digital Green Future 2.0 (EY-DGF 2.0).
This 3-day international training and action program, hosted in Drama, Greece, focuses on the topic of Sustainable Tourism within the framework of the European Green Deal and Agenda 2030. It is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, explore environmental challenges, and co-create practical solutions that promote responsible travel and climate-conscious development.
Who Can Participate
Participants must be:
- Aged 15 to 29
- Residents of one of the following partner countries: Greece, Spain, Serbia, Lithuania, Slovenia
Program Highlights
Over three days, participants will engage in dynamic sessions designed to build knowledge, inspire action, and foster international collaboration:
π Day 1: Climate Change & Us β The Power of Youth
- Discover the influence of youth in global climate movements
- Design your own sustainability campaigns
- Learn effective advocacy and storytelling strategies
π± Day 2: Change Habits, Save the Planet
- Explore everyday actions that reduce your ecological footprint
- Engage in hands-on sustainability practices
- Discuss green entrepreneurship and job creation in the tourism sector
ποΈ Day 3: Natural Monuments on the Path to Agenda 2030
- Field visits to natural heritage sites and eco-conscious tourism businesses
- Learn how tourism, biodiversity, and climate policies intersect
- Collaborate on an action plan for greener tourism models
Methodology
The methodology includes a mix of:
- Interactive workshops and group activities
- On-site visits to sustainable tourism initiatives
- Use of digital tools for collaboration and learning
- Creative problem-solving and project development
A one-day online preparatory course will precede the in-person training, equipping participants with foundational knowledge on the European Green Deal, Agenda 2030, and key environmental challenges. Completion of this course is required for all selected participants.
Expected Outcomes
By participating, you will:
